I Am Shredded!

I didn't want to write about this until I actually accomplished my goal. I am not a very disciplined person, especially if what I'm trying to do makes me uncomfortable at all. Working out is not something that makes me comfortable! I have tried working out several times in the past and only made it one or two days.
In steps, Pamela, my sister-in-law. She got me the Jillian Micheals (from the Biggest Loser) 30 Day Shred DVD. She also kept me accountable, very accountable! She was constantly texting me making sure I had worked out almost every day. She also would put a sticker on her calendar for me each day that I did my workout. It was a great motivation for me to be able to text her each time I was done and tell her to put my sticker on. (I know, I'm 12!)
I have completed 30 days of working out! This is a huge accomplishment for me. The best part about it is that I have gone down a size! I feel so much better too. I have more energy, it has made me feel better in so many ways.
I am now starting another 30 days, but this time at Level 2. I did the first workout tonight and I thought I was going to die! I'm sure taking a week off didn't help at all. This level is harder and is more leg intensive.
Please feel free to help keep me accountable. I need it!

Hi princess! I too am very proud of you, keep up the good work! But I also want to remind you that your beauty is more than pounds or lack of pounds, its that internal beauty that you possess. I have a profound respect and admiration for you because you are such a godly young woman, a awesome mother and an excellent wife. I am so thankful that God let me be your daddy! By the way, I am also thankful for Pam keeping you accountable, what a gift she is to our family. I love you, Dad

Ok, your dad's comment made me tear up a little. But he's so right. The love of a father...
And congradulations on your accomplishment. I know what a big difference working our can make on your life. It's really empowering. I have 3 more weeks until I"m cleared to work out, and then I'm gonna be bugging you too!

Congratulations! I am right there with you on the not doing whatever makes me uncomfortable. I am terrible at working out! I need to figure out something to help tone all those flabby c-section muscles. LOL! :)

Don't be afraid to go back to the first level sometimes if you just don't feel like doing level 2. Just make sure you do A level. If you improve too fast you'll just peter out too fast too.
Love ya!

Congrats! This is a huge accomplishment. I hate working out and make every excuse not to. I still have a few weeks before I can do anything about it. I'm really getting tired of being overweight myself and not only that but unhealthy, so I can't wait to hear the words that I can get fit. I'm already starting by eating better, my kids motivate me because they love their fruits and vegies. So I eat more of those foods with them. I know you can do it. You are an inspiration to me, not just for working out but because of who you are in Christ. I truly do look up to you and I'm way older than you too.

WAY TO GO, AMY! You've inspired me to try the video out myself. I got it for my MIL for Christmas, and with her review and your review...well, Amazon is delivering it to my mailbox this week. :)
