Four Pandas and a Lamb

A week or so ago, I was able to go to Lincoln City with some dear friends that I don't get to see very often. I love these girls, even though we don't live near, we can pick up like there hasn't been any distance between us. We shopped at the outlets and then spent the night at a hotel, laughing until we cried at some hilarious memories from college! The next day we spent at the beach just relaxing. It was so much fun and I can't wait until next year!

Frugal Tip

Here's a little frugal tip I recently heard about and tried. When you open a can of fruit, instead of just draining the can and throwing the juice away, freeze it and make your own popsicles with it! Some fruit juice will taste great on their own, like pineapple, others might need to be mixed together (for example, you could store the juice from the can of pears in the fridge for a day or so until you open the can of peaches and then mix the juices and freeze them). A couple weeks ago, I used a small can of pineapples for a pizza I was making and then froze the juice that was left in the can in these popsicle containers (I think I got them from the Dollar Store). A small can made 5 small popsicles. As you can see from the picture, Rylie loved it! I'd love to hear if you have any frugal tips you want to share!

$30 worth for $3!

I went back to Albertsons today to take advantage of more of their Twice the Value coupons. I paid $3 (plus tax) for $30 worth of groceries. (Sorry the picture isn't the best) So, in the last couple of days, I spent $8 and got $80 worth of groceries! I got the coupons for the paper plates (which will be great for when we go camping later this month) right on the plates. There was a "peelie" coupon on the plates right at the store, that I doubled. The Ranch also had a peelie on it that I doubled. The coupons I used for the olives I printed from the Internet. The tortilla coupons I did get from the Sunday paper inserts (I had 3 papers). It goes to show you that you can get coupons from many different sources, so even if you don't get the Sunday paper, you can still save! I'd love to feature you if you've had a great deal, just send me a picture or a note and I can share it with everyone. In these tough economic times, it's nice to be able to help each other out and show where the deals are and how to get them!
By the way, if you did get the Sunday paper last Sunday, there was a coupon for $2 off Gillette Men's Body Wash, these are priced at $1.97 at Target so they would be free. While your there, also take the coupon for the Clean and Clear and the Tide, you get the travel size of both of these for free with those coupons. These are some of the ways you can get things for family without having to spend any money (except for sales tax). Have fun couponing!

My Albertsons Deals

$50 worth for $5! It should have cost me $3 but the cashier over charged me for the Ranch. I didn't catch it because my sweet baby wasn't behaving so sweetly, but that's a story for another day.
We start VBS tomorrow, but I'm hoping to be able to have time to go back to Albertsons to get a few more things. I love those Twice the Value coupons!
