Learning To Ride

Rylie got her bike last year for her Birthday, but we didn't have much time to teach her to ride it, until now. Daddy and Rylie have been spending the last few evenings practicing. She was able to go a little ways all by herself and was very proud of herself!

Popsicle Day

This is what we spent time doing this afternoon instead of doing dishes, laundry, sweeping, etc. It was just too nice of a day to spend it entirely indoors.
We have our Women's Retreat this weekend, and I have a ton of last minute details to take care of, but I'm procrastinating on that as well! I'm feeling stressed and when I feel stressed then I don't want to do anything! Blah! Ironically, the theme of the retreat is "contentment"! See why I chose this topic?! I have lots to learn about it!
My sister and nephew should be here in a few hours though, so that gives me good motivation to finish things up before they come. I have a nice soundtrack right now of Anna singing, "Me Milk, Me, Me, Me Milk"!

God's Glory

"God glorifies Himself toward the creatures also in two ways: 1. By appearing to . . . their understanding. 2. In communicating Himself to their hearts, and in their rejoicing and delighting in, and enjoying the manifestations which He makes of Himself. . . God is glorified not only by His glory's being seen, buy by its being rejoiced in. When those that see it delight in it, god is more glorified than if they only see it."

Sunny Days

I haven't been able to blog much because my computer crashed. I thought I'd share a few photos from yesterday though. After church we went to my parents house and enjoyed their back yard and ice cream.
Saturday was Ryan and I's 11th anniversary! We went to a movie and to the Melting Pot. It was delicious! I thought they were going to have to roll me out of there after the four course meal!
I'll have to blog more later when I have more time.

Veggie Girl

The other day when we were at the grocery store, Rylie asked if she could pick out a treat. I said she could and was pleased when she chose broccoli! She wanted to eat it just like this! She loves her fruits and veggies, tomatoes are her favorite food ever. She's concerned about eating healthy, which I'm glad about, I just don't know where she got it from! I wish I was as concerned about healthy eating as she is!

Pre-K

Well, it's official! We have turned in Rylie's application and reserved her place for Pre-Kindergarten next year at the Church's Preschool! We are still planning on Homeschooling, and have been doing Home school this past year. We thought it would be a good experience for her and for us to have a year of school under her belt. We are excited for this new adventure, but also a little nervous. I will probably cry the first day! I know she will do great though!

Friends!

We had a wonderful time last night at the Drollingers. Really, I know these two don't look like it in the picture, but right before the picture they were smiling and kissing each other! The clothes all over the floor are a result of them having a great time emptying out Sierra's dresser. They had great fun and were very busy taking the clothes out and then putting them back in.
Meanwhile, Andrew and Rylie were finding big rocks, worms, and ants outside. Rylie had so much fun!
It was great getting to know this wonderful family more and to enjoy Rachel's cooking! Yummy!

Mother's Day

We had a nice Mother's Day! I am so blessed with wonderful children! Saturday, Ryan and the girls took me out to lunch and then for a relaxing drive along the waterfront.
Sunday, after church, we had lunch with Ryan's Mom and dinner with my Mom.
Ryan gave me a new drive for my computer. I was excited because it can hold up to 80,000 pictures! My favorite present though was the beautiful flowers that Rylie picked for me! She was so excited and so sweet when she gave them to me!

Musical Morning

A friend from Awana gave us free tickets to go to the Seattle Symphony's children's concert yesterday. Mom and I braved the streets of Seattle only to find out that the concert had been cancelled. We were very disappointed, but where told we could take the girls to the Soundbridge to play with some instruments. The girls loved this, especially Rylie. She absolutely loved the Cello and did not want to play anything else. She kept saying, "I'm having so much fun!"
Anna was very serious about playing the piano. She sat and played for quite awhile. I thought she would just bang on it, but she was quite intent on it.
It was precious to me to watch them playing music with my Mom. She is such a great Grandma!
