Cousins!
Rylie had so much fun playing with her boy cousins while we were in Idaho! She tried to rough house and keep up with them. They don't seem to mind that she's younger than them or a girl. They treat her really good. They let her play with them and teach her how to play superheros and how to do all sorts of boy things. We were a little surprised though when she told us, "I need a fireball." When Ryan asked her why she said, "So we can crack the bad guys in the head with it." Ryan promptly called his sisters and wanted to know what else the boys were teaching his little girl!

The Drive!
Friday morning we woke up early and got on the road headed to Idaho! We were on our way to Ryan's Mom's Cousin's house on the river. Rylie decided this was the time to impress us with her massive vocabulary. I think the only time she stopped talking was the hour that she fell asleep. She actually does have a pretty good vocabulary, but for some reason, (maybe to torture us) she kept coming back to her favorite word, "why?". About six months ago, she went through the "why" stage and we all managed to come out of it virtually unscathed (well, there was the time Ryan locked him and her out of the house because his brain was overrun with explaining why). We thought those glorious days were over. We were pleased that it didn't last too long. Our joy was short lived! The "Why" is back, and with a vengeance! After hearing it in the car for eight hours straight, our heads were swimming and our ears bleeding when we finally arrived at our destination in Idaho.

My Wonderful Husband!

I am so thankful for the husband that God gave me! He is so loving and fun! Every morning on vacation, he got up and made us breakfast. Not just cereal, but bacon, pancakes, waffles. . . He was also so helpful with cleaning and taking care of the girls. I was able to feel like I got a vacation as well. The girls and I have so much fun with him! Thanks honey for being such a great Dad and Husband!

More Beach Pictures

Rylie loves to help me cook. Her favorite part is putting the cheese on whatever we are making. Here she is helping me make Green Chicken Enchiladas. Anna had so much fun on our trip too. She did so well for being in different places. She was almost always smiling and talking! Ryan amused us all with his combination juggling and Running Man! I'm so thankful for the family God has blessed me with!

Back from Vacation!

We are home from our two weeks vacation! We had a wonderful time and as such, I am going to barrage you with pictures for the next few weeks! If anyone is brave enough to look at all 300 plus pictures, you can go here. I won't post all of them, obviously, but I do want to share some highlights with you periodically. Here are some from the first leg of our trip when we went to the beach. (Thank you so much, Bob and Jani for letting us use your beautiful home!) While we were there, Jenaya and Becky came up to visit us for a day. We played Boccie ball, ate yummy food, and threw tons of rocks into the water. Becky got a great picture of Anna leaning back and giving her big sister a kiss! They had a lot of fun with each other on our vacation!

Vacating!
We are officially on vacation! (These pictures are actually from yesterday.) We are taking a two week vacation in three parts. Our first trip is to the Hood Canal to stay at our friend's beach cabin. It is absolutely beautiful here! The house is decorated nicely and is very comfortable. Last night we ate dinner outside at the patio table. This is a treat for us since we're not able to do this at home. Rylie was thrilled to be able to stand in the ocean and find shells and throw rocks into the water. Anna loved watching the birds and gazing at the flowers. Ryan and I were enjoying not having any other responsibilities and being able to focus on each other and the girls. It has been very relaxing so far!
Friday we'll go to Idaho with Ryan's side of the family to a house on the river. Next Monday, we'll go to our friend's house in the mountains! I love vacation!

Anniversary Pictures
We had such a good time on our Anniversary! I surprised Ryan with a trip to an Italian Villa Bed and Breakfast (in our town). When we walked into our room there was tea lights burning, and rose petals all over the room, it was beautiful! We went to dinner at the Melting Pot, a fondue restaurant. It was good, but we were too full to get the chocolate fondue for desert, that will be for another day. The next morning we enjoyed breakfast in our room and uninterrupted conversation! That afternoon we went to our friend, Becky's sister's wedding. It was a beautiful wedding, very romantic and glorifying. My surprise from Ryan was a gorgeous pair of diamond earrings and a Journey diamond necklace! I was so surprised! I love them, I'll try to post a picture later. We had a wonderful ten year Anniversary!
